Unit Boundaries

Unit boundaries mark the difference between private property and common property. Condominium owners own everything inside the unit boundaries and share ownership of everything outside the unit boundaries. The location of the boundaries may be defined in provincial legislation or on the condominium plan. Conventional condominium units are defined by the walls, floor, and ceiling. Bare land condominium units are defined by pins in the ground placed by a surveyor at the edges of the plot.
