Certificate of Title
A certificate of title registers the ownership of a property at a land titles office. A title certificate applies to only one piece of property, such as a condominium unit and the related share of common property, or a titled parking space. Titles can be leased, sold, mortgaged, or transferred. Any caveats, liens, encumbrances, easements or other interests registered against a property are shown on the title.
