Board and Industry Positions

There are 10 regional real estate boards operating in Alberta, all of which are AREA's members, as well as the more than 10,000 REALTORS® that both AREA, as the provincial professional association, and the regional boards serve. AREA and the regional boards are also members of the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), which, through its member provincial associations and boards, serves more than 100,000 REALTORS® across the country.

Other opportunities for employment in the real estate industry also become available on a semi-regular basis at the local board level.

The career opportunities within the real estate industry cater to a wide variety of specialties, particularly at the board level where individuals from such diverse backgrounds as law, communications, marketing, customer service and, of course, real estate, often work alongside one another.
